Do I Qualify for Lingual Braces?

The desire for an attractive smile has nothing to do with vanity. A perfect smile is probably top of most people’s list. No matter what your gender or age, this is something many people aspire to.  As many are aware, getting a great smile can involve a small amount of hard work and perhaps some money spent too.

Lingual Braces Can Help

Mention dental braces and most people will immediately think of the metal monstrosities familiar from teenage years. While these braces were extremely effective at producing an even, attractive smile, the wearer often had to endure a year or more of unkind nicknames and the discomfort of a mouth full of steel. Traditional braces are still effective and widely used, and modern versions are a lot less obtrusive and unsightly, for both adults and teenagers. However, a new kind of brace is available which is all but noticeable in use:  the Lingual Brace.

What’s the Difference?

Both kinds of braces work by applying constant, gentle pressure to your teeth to slowly nudge them into a more even pattern. Traditional types are fitted to the front of the teeth, and consist of a system of highly visible metal brackets and wires. Lingual braces, on the other hand, are fitted to the rear of your teeth, and are barely detectable in comparison, even though they achieve the same standard of results.

Therefore, lingual braces offer an excellent solution for all teenagers and adults who want to enjoy the increased confidence that comes with a straighter smile.
