How can a dentists fix a broken tooth?

A dentist can fix a broken tooth in various ways by means of a filling, a crown (cap) or sometimes it may be necessary to have a more complex procedure before this such as a root canal. Each circumstance is individual to each patient and no two broken teeth are the same.

Sometimes a very badly decayed or broken tooth may require extracting. Then the space with the tooth was may be filled using a denture/implant or a type of bridge.

Most cases of broken teeth are broken or chipped fillings. Having the tooth examined within a week or so is important to help prevent further issues or pain.
