How long will I have to wear my aligners?
With the Invisalign treatment, you need to wear a series of aligners, each of which has been adapted to the changing shape of your teeth. Each set will be worn for, on average, a fortnight. Usually, the treatment will consist of 20 sets of aligners (so it would last for just under a year overall), but it could consist of just 10 aligners – or as many as 40. It all depends on the individual needs of your jaw and your teeth.
For how much time each day do I need to wear the aligners?
You will need to wear your aligners for a minimum of 20-22 hours per day. It is best to keep them in right round the clock, though you can remove them for special occasions. Not wearing the aligners for the right amount of time will slow and disrupt the overall treatment process.
