How would you check the registration of a dentist?

In the UK you can visit the general dental council website (GDC) a search for the dental professional by name or location of practice. If their name appears on the list then they should be a registered dental professional. Check here http://www.gdc-uk.org/Pages/SearchRegisters.aspx
